Description

Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove — Leonard Cohen

Maw Sit Sit is a rare green and black metamorphic rock that has been confused with jade for hundreds of years. The bright green color is caused by its very high chromium content, higher than any other rock. To date, all known deposits are in a small area of Kachin State of northern Myanmar. It takes its name from the village of Maw Sit Sit, located in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains.
